UPMC Leader Surgery Center is the first ambulatory service center in central Pennsylvania — and the first in UPMC — to offer robotic-assisted surgery. The center, located in the Outpatient Services building at UPMC Memorial, is a fully accredited, state-of-the-art outpatient facility with eight large surgical suites.
Led by the surgeons of Leader Surgical Associates-UPMC, surgeons will now have access to the latest robotic technology in an outpatient setting, including the da Vinci Surgical System® which is a more precise and less invasive surgery option. Robotic-assisted surgery gives surgeons the ability to operate on hard-to-reach areas of the body and perform complex procedures with improved visualization and dexterity.
UPMC Leader Surgery Center, which first opened in 2000 and moved to the new UPMC Memorial Campus in 2019, comprises a certified team of surgeons and experienced nursing staff who provide quality care and same day procedures including: gastrointestinal surgery and colonoscopies, general surgery, gynecologic surgery, ophthalmologic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
To refer a patient to Leader Surgical Associates-UPMC, please call 717-714-3111.
Distributed to licensed physicians throughout York County and available at a variety of community partner locations, York County Medicine is the official publication of the York County Medical Society.
